COVID-19 Vaccine Dose Data in Illinois

The graphic displayed below is information to help people understand how many doses are being given in the population of Illinois.

In March 2020 there was a start to something that no one expected and even aware of was happening. Looking at social media or watching the news was the first start of everyone’s attention to the spread of some virus. There was a start to where we couldn’t see our loved ones or even be in any walking distance in order to not let the spread of the thing we did not understand. The thing is a global pandemic which is also known as the coronavirus or COVID-19.

The Illinois Department of Public Health has been keeping its data up to date in order to keep track of the pandemic. this website provides health topics, looking ahead, and recent news. The main focus COVID-19 vaccine is the doses done by the population. IDPH receives vaccination reports from providers. Going deeper you can find data and statistics by population, zip code, and demographics. We all are trying to prevent what is important. According to recent data provided by 06/10/2021, we clearly see by age and population of doses provided.

The data provided are pulled from I-CARE. CDC reports the total number of people who reside in Illinois who have been vaccinated, which also includes Illinois residents who have been vaccinated in other states.

The younger population is starting their doses which makes you realize they can be a stop to the pandemic. Illinois population of 65+ aren’t many that are starting to start their dose may be due to their beliefs. This can mean that when looking at the news or even hearing what people say they do not believe in this vaccine. Ages 12+ are more where their parents decide for them f they should be getting the vaccine. In all beliefs people nowadays mostly rely on media where this data provided is understanding.
